With this last recognition in December 2017 of Conde Nast Traveller, the year close with a record in appreciation and awards, granted by international tourist media and organizations for Chilean destinies in diverse categories. For Debbie Feldman, General Manager of Turismo Chile “All these recognitions help us to position ourselves abroad; they are important magazines at an international level, which highlight Chile in the markets abroad”

“The strategy of inviting permanently foreign press is crucial, due to the impact that it generated, not only to obtain international recognitions, but also for the large number of pages published about Chile in other markets,” says Feldman.

For Andrea Wolleter, Executive Vice President of Fedetur (Federation of Tourism Companies) all these recognitions abroad, are the result of years of strategic work. “The challenge that we have now is to achieve recognition of other attributes, as the astronomic and wine tourism, which can expand the offer for all the visitor of the world” said Wolleter.

The publication of Condé Nast Traveller, highlighted in the case of Tierra Chiloé its mountain shelter spirit, with service of the first level, combined with an iconic and remote landscape, to experience the Chiloé culture.” With the international prestige of Conde Nast in the luxury market, being in this selection provides a very important showcase to Chiloé, that is earned strong as a destiny. Chiloé has a living culture and is one of the most magical places of Chile” says Miguel Purcell, General Manager of Tierra Hotel.

For Rodrigo Donoso, Commercial Director of the Explora hotels of Estear Island and San Pedro de Atacama, being highlighted by Conde Nast is an incentive to show the most remote corners of Chile. “Explora is present in some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet, mixing exploration routes with and architecture integrated with the environment and the highest service standards’, explains Donoso.
